Injection molding, also known as injection molding, is a molding method of injection and molding. The advantages of injection molding method are fast production speed, high efficiency, automatic operation, many colors and varieties, simple to complex shapes, large to small sizes, accurate product sizes, easy renewal of products, and can form parts with complex shapes. Injection molding is suitable for mass production and molding processing fields such as products with complex shapes.


Compared with other molding technologies, it has many obvious characteristics:

1. Advantages of injection molding

1) Since the melting plasticization and flow molding of the molding material are carried out in the barrel and mold cavity respectively, the mold can always be in the state of rapid condensation or crosslinking solidification of the melt, which is conducive to shortening the molding cycle.

2) During molding, the mold must be locked before the melt is injected. In addition, the melt with good fluidity has little wear on the mold cavity, so a set of mold can produce large quantities of injection molding products.

3) An operator can often manage two or more injection molding machines, especially when the parts can be unloaded automatically. Therefore, the labor required is relatively low.

4) All molding processes such as mold closing, feeding, plasticization, injection, mold opening and demoulding are completed by injection molding, so that the injection molding process is easy to be fully automated and program control is realized.

5) Due to the high pressure during forming, plastic parts with complex shape, clear surface patterns and marks and high dimensional accuracy can be formed.

6) More than one material can be formed by CO injection; It can effectively form materials with hard skin and foamed heart, and can form thermosetting plastics and fiber-reinforced plastics. Because the forming can adopt precise mold and precise hydraulic system, coupled with the use of microcomputer control, the products with high precision can be obtained, and the volume tolerance can reach Kun M.

8) High production efficiency, two sets of molds can contain dozens or even hundreds of cavities, so dozens or even hundreds of plastic parts can be formed at one time.

9) Molded plastic parts can be used only with a small amount of trimming, and the waste generated in the molding process can be reused. Therefore, there is little waste of raw materials in injection molding.


2. Disadvantages of injection molding

1) The key instrument of injection molding is mold, but the cycle of mold design, manufacturing and mold test is very long and the production is slow.

2) Due to the limitation of cooling conditions, it is difficult to form plastic parts with thick walls and large changes.

3) Due to the high cost of injection molding machine and injection mold, the start-up investment is large, so it is not suitable for the production of small batch plastic parts.

4) The quality of molded products is limited by many factors, so it has high technical requirements and is difficult to master.
